Title: The Leader Who Had No Title…
Author: Robin Sharma

Verdict: One of the better personal development/leadership fables I have read.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥
Much Better Than: Who Moved My Cheese?

See which libraries in New Zealand have The Leader Who Had No Title and Who Moved My Cheese?

I’m not a fan of business fables. Maybe it’s a cultural difference between America and New Zealand but I put business fables in the same category as reality TV shows such as The Biggest Loser and The Apprentice. I often find them simplistic, superficial and somehow lacking in credibility.

The Leader Who Had No Title is however a step above this and espouses four “dare to do different” insights.

  1. You need no title to be a leader.
  2. Turbulent times build great leaders.
  3. The deeper your relationships, the stronger your leadership.
  4. To be a great leader, first become a great person.

Although the effusive praise and positive affirmations are a tad overdone for my liking this book is one of the better personal development/leadership fables I have read.

With baby boomers retiring within the next decade, leadership is becoming more and more important to the profession. Start your leadership journey now with this book.
